THE COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN (Hart)

QEB: Public Exhibition Scheduled

QEB developer, Taylor Wimpey (TW), have through their public consultation company (DPP) sent out something like 6,000 letters to those living closest to the site giving notice of a public exhibition on their latest plans for the redevelopment of the site. You may very well have received such a letter. If not then you can download a copy from the QEB Campaign web-site; DPP letter.

The public exhibition is to be held;
Date:  Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2010
Venue: Site office, Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Sandy Lane (see map)
Time:  10.00 am to 8.00 pm on Friday and 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturday

The good news is that TW are promising that they will not be restricting access to the Bourley Road car park and so far they are holding out against pressure and are still looking to reduce the number of houses to circa 872. We all know that something is going to get built on the QEB site, so now is the opportunity for the community to work with TW. Let us ensure that as far as possible we can get this development to work as best we can for Church Crookham and the surrounding areas.

We would therefore encourage as many of us as possible who have an interest in the QEB to visit the exhibition and make our views known.

your six Community Campaign Councillors

The Community Campaign (Hart) is a Residents Association which is registered with the Electoral Commission allowing us to contest local authority elections. In the Hart District Council elections of 10th June 2004 the Community Campaign (Hart) succeeded in having our first two candidates elected to the District Council. Since then a total of six Community Campaign Councillors have been elected (see contacts table above).

In June 2009 Jenny Radley was elected to be the County councillor for the "Church Crookham & Ewshot" division. The division also includes Crookham Village and Fleet Courtmoor.

QEB LogoThe Community Campaign (Hart) (CCH) has long been associated with QEB Campaign. The application to develop the site and to drastically reduce the size of the Bourley Road car park was thrown out on appeal. CCH members are proud to have been a key part of the successful effort by the QEB campaign to fight these proposals.
